Mysuru, April 7:- “If anyone refuses to supply milk and vegetables to the quarantined people and asking them not to come to shop even after completing quarantine period will not be tolerated. Such people will have to face legal consequences,” said Superintendent of Police CB Ryshyanth.
He was speaking at the Facebook live of News and Public Relations Department here on Monday.
“We have received several complaints from quarantined people not being provided with milk and vegetables. People who are in quarantine are not necessarily coronavirus-affected. They are in quarantine as a measure of precaution. Don’t ill-treat them. Or else, we will have to take strict action,” he said.
“Those who have tested positive are in hospitals. Home quarantined are normal people like everyone else. If suspected them, a criminal case will be registered. Prayers should be held at homes. We have registered a case in Hunsur on Monday,” he added. (MR/KS)
